As soon as I spied the Instant Eye Palette over on Instagram. I know that Charlotte Tilbury had me sold once again…
I know, I get it. It isn’t the most affordable of brands. But twice a year, I like to make a little purchase to keep my little collection and love for her products ticking over. Touch wood, that I’ve never been disappointed by her products yet.
Anyway, I was around the pool in Marrakesh trying to purchase this on the 24-hour pre-launch and failed. I quickly whatsapp’d Mother Lillie and asked her to pick me up a few things. What a babe she was.
So the first thing on my list was the new Limited Edition Instant Eye Palette (£60), which as I write this, is still available to purchase. It is £60 – I KNOW, I KNOW. But guys, it’s Tilbs, it’s a treat and limited edition means it was all too much to resist.
I’m already a big fan of Charlotte’s eyeshadows. I own two of her quads; The Dolce Vita and The Sophisticate and use them super regularly so I knew this would be a purchase I would make the most of. Her eyeshadows are buildable, buttery and blendable the 3 B’s every eyeshadow should be. This palette is no different.
With an array of 12 shades embodying four staple looks, it is set to take you from Day -> Desk -> Date -> Disco. YAS. The Day consists of subtle light neutrals, the Desk a real caramel-vibe, Dating means shimmery chocolate and the Disco look hosts black and gold. I’m obsessed.
I’ve only been using it for a week or two, and it’s one I’ve reached for during the day and on an evening. Am I in love? You bet I am.
Whilst I was on a Tilbs Spending Spree, I fancied myself a new highlighter (which seems to happen every time I makeup shop). I had noticed a lot of the Fashion Week makeup was loving the new Hollywood Beauty Light Wand (£29) so with me being the sucker to good reviews as I am, I had to obviously pick it up.
EVERYONE WHO LOVES HIGHLIGHTER NEEDS THIS IN THEIR LIFE.
It’s a twist, sponge mechanism which is slightly strange but it works beautifully. A couple of dabs and blend with a finger and it’s natural, glowy, dewy, heaven-on-the-skin amazingness. I think, I THINK, this may be my new favourite Tilbury product. & that is a statement.
Now because I love a highlighter so much (guys, if I had the chance, I’d bathe in it), I have had my eye on the Supermodel Body Shimmer (£45) for some time. It’s a body roll-on highlighter, essentially a grown-up version of the Groovy Chick Roll-on Body Glitter. Anyone? Just me?
It’s gorgeous. A complete unnecessary and impractical purchase I must admit, but for nights out and days where you want a real glow on your legs, arms and decolletage just like Naomi Campbell or some Victoria’s Secret model, it’s a great little product to use. But, it’s not an everyday product and I still can’t justify that bloody price tag.
So there’s a few bits and bobs I’ve picked up from Queen Tilbs, including the incredible Instant Eye Palette which I would recommend picking you up whilst you still can.
Anyone else a total Tilbury obsess-ee?
