Good and reputable bases are hard to come by in my mind. I have always been one for drugstore offerings (apart from GA Luminous Silk) as I find them cheaper to repurchase when I fall in love with one. But for now, lets talk Dior…

Now THERE’S a sentence I never thought that I would pen to this blog. Dior is a brand that I have never ventured in until I picked up their Diorskin Nude BB Creme (£30) with a voucher I won via Becca (thanks loves!). I am hardly ever one for complete full-coverage foundation, I still prefer for my skin to look like skin quite a lot of the time so I tend to opt for lighter bases. This particular base is a combination of makeup qualities and skincare aspects, providing a flawless, skin-perfecting coverage whilst hydrating and evening out skin tone. It’s a tad more coverage than your usual BB cream, but allows the skin to breathe underneath without feeling heavy.

I have been applying it with my regular Beauty Blender Sponge (£16) as it proves for a flawless coverage and although the shade (002 Fair) is a tad tad tad too dark, with a bit of blending and powder it looks wearable. I would have gone for the lightest shade however it was far too pink toned. I would say that the shades are a downside as there is only three available which is rubbish. It also isn’t amazingly long-lasting but for an 5-6 hours wear it holds up well but I wouldn’t wear it for longer days. All in all, this is definitely going to be something that I’ll be reaching for a lot more and the built in pump, well, that just sells it.

Finally, a new base that I like! Let me know in the comments what some of your favourite BB creams are and if you’ve tried Dior’s version. I always like to go that little bit lighter once Spring sets in! Anyone else feel like that too? Thanks for reading!
