Matte lip products hold a strong percentage of my entire lip collection. There’s just something about the suede like appearance that I long for. I’ve never been one for going crazy over new releases, but when the likes of Lily and MilkTeef wrote about the new Revlon Colorbust Matte Balms, I knew I had to get my hands straight on them. I swatched them all (no shame) and decided to pick up two shades that I thought would suit me the most; Standout, a deep red and Unapologetic, a beautiful fuscia.
They glide on with super ease and the pigmentation (of these shades) are pretty much 100% opaque within one application. This means you don’t need to use a lot of product, making it last longer. Upon application they do seem to have a slight gloss however they do dry to a suede-matte finish. Due to the intense colour I find that the lasting power is good, around 4-6 hours. My only problem is that these shades did tend to bleed on the lips, but hey, at £7.99 a pop I don’t mind touching up every now and then.
Let me know in the comments below if you’ve picked any of these up and if so, in what shades? Have you tried the ‘laquer’ version too? They’re next on my list! Until next time, thanks for reading!
